Gazete Azulejos is a devoted tile studio in Porto dedicated to preserving traditional Portuguese azulejos. We hand-paint faithful replicas of historic designs using classic techniques, creating pieces that feel authentic, not mass-produced.

Our collection is inspired by real references from across Portugal, including patterns documented on historic façades. These tiles work beautifully for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, wall panels, and small decorative projects. We produce to order and ship internationally.

We focus on historic aesthetics and ceramic craft, from line work and shading to traditional textures and finishes. Our goal is to revive Portuguese tile heritage through pieces that are made to last and look right on the wall.

We don’t just reproduce patterns, we study them. We research traditional Portuguese azulejos across regions and periods, from history and iconography to the ceramic techniques used across centuries. We also document Porto’s tile façades through our ongoing catalog project, Os Azulejos do Porto. This work helps us reproduce designs accurately and share their stories in our blog.
